The Maelstr\u00f6m was born from the idea of \u200b\u200boffering unique accommodations to complement the numerous outdoor activities that the municipality of Lac-Beauport has to offer on its unique terrain.<\/p>\n

The Maelstr\u00f6m is located on the Mont-Tourbillon mountain. The area totals more than 36 million square feet. It is a unique location, only 20 minutes from Quebec City. This immense territory offers spectacular views of the surrounding area and the Quebec region.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Maelstr\u00f6m holds a tourist permit issued by the Quebec Tourism Industry Corporation.<\/p>\n

The mountain was selected as part of the development plan for the Sentiers du moulin trail network. Within this plan, more than 25 km of mountain bike trails will be developed in the coming two years on the Maelstr\u00f6m, which is to become an integral part of the larger Sentiers du moulin trail network. A first round of government funding of 200,000$ has been announced in August 2018 to start this new project. Notably, a multifunctional trail, which should be accessible to people of all skills is in the works along with The Wolverine, Slab City, Gold City and other signature mountain bike trails.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
